therostrum.org describes a project to build a permanent archive for collegiate music performance, and lets music programs apply to a founding pilot. It is informational. Using it doesn't create a contract, an account, or an obligation on either side.
About the Cantora demonstration. The archive interface at /demo is a design demonstration. Every school, ensemble, director, and recording shown there is fictional. No real recordings are hosted or streamed, and no institution, conductor, composer, or publisher appearing anywhere on this site is affiliated with, or has endorsed, The Rostrum unless expressly stated in a signed agreement.
Applying isn't joining. Pilot participation is governed by a separate one-page memorandum of understanding between The Rostrum and the participating institution. That document — not this website — defines what may be archived, who owns it, and how it ends. Where anything here conflicts with a signed MOU, the MOU controls.
The pilot is offered at no cost, is limited to public-domain and faculty/student-composed works, and may be ended by either party at any time.
Please don't attempt to breach or probe our systems, scrape the site at volume, misrepresent who you are when applying, or submit anyone else's personal information without their knowledge. We may decline or withdraw pilot participation at our discretion.

The site is provided as-is. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law.
